Udsholt Strand is an ideal holiday destination if you wish to spend your holiday by the beach, swimming and sunbathing, but also if you wish to enjoy the island Sealand, which offers a variety of interesting sights and leisure activities. You will find grocery stores within a radius of 2 km. The nearest larger towns area Hillerød (30 km) with the castle Frederiksborg Slot' as it's landmark.
You will find good fishing opportunities along the shore and especially by the reef opposite Smidstrup Strand. Furthermore, the area offers a number of Put & Take fishponds. North Sealand is rich in golf courses, and the courses of 'Passebækgård Golfklub' (12 km), 'Gilleleje Golfklub' (16 km) 'Helsinge Golfklub' (18 km) and 'Asserbo Golf Klub' by Frederiksværk (23 km) are the closest. The steep slopes and the favourable wind conditions of the area 'Heatherhill' makes the nature area an ideal place for paragliders. Tennis courts are available in the tourist town Gilleleje (8 km), and lovely nature experiences await you along the many walking paths of the area.Visit the farm 'Smidstrup-Farmen', where you can meet with all domestic farm animals, drive on a tractor and ride on ponies (4 km). The tourist town Gilleleje offers an old quarter, idyllic alleys and small fishing houses (8 km). On the cosy harbour, where you will always find a vivid activity and an evocative atmosphere, you can buy fresh fish directly from the fishing boats (6 km). In 'Gilleleje Museum' you can experience exhibitions concerning the fishing industry as well as an old fishing house. The amusement park 'Nordsjællands Sommerpark' in Græsted is ideal for a day of fun.

The small idyllic fishing hamlet Lønstrup is an evocative holiday town.
At the outskirts of Lønstrup the fishing vessels are still pulled up on the beach every day after use. Lønstrup is a small, active and vivid town with cosy streets, galleries as well as a number of shops and restaurants. More of the restaurants have outdoor service, and some of these even have a view of the North Sea. Fish dishes are naturally a permanent part of the menu card. The area has attracted many artists, who now reside here. Visit f.x. some of their galleries, workshops, glass factories and museums in and around Lønstrup.
Beach
The sandy beach by Lønstrup has the Blue Flag. The breakwater provides more lagoons with calm and shallow water, which makes the beach very suitable for children. The outstanding sunsets over the North Sea can be enjoyed from the beach or the dunes.
Activities
It is possible to surf, play golf and drive go-karts here. The anglers also have very good possibilities.
The area has a number of good paths, and you can experience the landscape along these on food, on bicycle or on horseback.
Excursion spots
In the amusement park 'Fårup Sommerland & Aquapark' by the holiday town Blokhus you can try out more than 50 exciting activities for the whole family.
The museum Nordsømuseet in Hirtshals is Europe's largest aquarium with an oceanarium and a sealarium. Experience sharks and fish as well as the activity centre and the exhibition about fish and fishing.
