A unique experience on an authentic Turkish wooden Güllet, a 25 m long sailing boat which will allow you to sail the Turkish and even Greek waters! Including a 4-strong crew, consisting of a captain, 2 sailors and a chef. What make this ship unique, is that it has no less than 8 double cabins, with their own bathroom, and a cosy bar where you can enjoy a nice drink (not included).
In principle a standard route is followed, but everything is possible aboard the Çömez, and if you have special wishes please let us know. Short or long holiday, only Turkey or also visits to the Greek islands - the Dutch owner will do everything in her power to make your holiday unforgettable! The standard route leaves from Bodrum and moors in e.g. Bitez (with lovely terraces), Seven Islands (fabulous nature), Sögüt (possible excursion to Marmaris) and the typical village Çökertme. Sailing is approx. 3 hours per day with the engine or the sails.
If you want to sail to Greece, the maximum is 12 persons (due to laws).
Your stay on the Çömez includes:
- Crew
- Basic set of towels only to be used in the cabin (take your own beach towels)
- Airconditioning in very warm weather (the captain decides)
- Use of surfboard, canoes, snorkels and fishing gear
- Daily cleaning of the cabins
Not included: drinking water (tap water is not fit for drinking), other drinks (ca. eur 1.50 - 3.00 a piece, payable at the end) and possible full board, which can be booked for eur. 150,- per person per week. This is inclusive breakfast, lunch, dinner and a cosy tea-time in the afternoon.

The beaches of Side are just 800 m away; you can even be picked up. Each holiday home has two floors and is situated around the large communal swimming pool. The villa is luxuriously equipped and has all extras such as a HiFi set with mp3/USB support, a safe for your valuables and a bar where you can take breakfast. There is of course air conditioning for the warm summers and there is a Jacuzzi in one of the bathrooms. There is access from the living room to the garden with a large permanent barbecue via a sliding door. There are also toilets and shower facilities near the communal swimming pool.
In the villa is a book with all kinds of tips on the nearby area; where you can go, where the best restaurants are and where you can book excursions for example rafting, diving, fishing, sailing or parasailing. The small town of Side has many old features; you can imagine you are in an open-air museum of temples and amphitheatres. Nearby, there are waterfalls, dams, seaside and beach but also several shops and even open-air discotheques where you can have fun until the early hours.

Gümüslük (centre at 4 km) is often called 'the place for silver'. The centre has a pretty natural bay with the small 'Rabbit-island' that you can reach by walking through the sea. You sometime will see the rabbits hopping around from the terraces on the seafront. The place is famous for the many artists who live here and the many fish restaurants with daily fresh products. Many rich Turks from the big cities like to come here. The centre has many little souvenir shops.
The Bodrum peninsula is also called the Turkish St. Tropez, and here 'to see is to enjoy' is the motto! It is the centre for the cruise ships and shopping is abundant in various shopping centres. The largest outdoor discotheque in Turkey, Halikarnas, is thé place to go out. A few highlights: the Johanniter citadel St. Peter, the marine archaeology museum and the mausoleum of King Mausolos, one of the seven wonders of the world in Antiquity. The ferry takes you to the Greek island Kos. There are several day excursions or 'moonlight' trips by boat. Or visit a shipbuilding wharf where the Turkish sailing boats, the Gülets, are built, typical for Bodrum! In Gümbet you will find a magnificent sandy beach and many terraces and shops. Bitez is renowned for wind surfing and water sports, and also has a pretty beach, ideal for children.

You can take a boat trip for example to Butterfly Valley, where there are thousands of colourful butterflies to be admired from June to September. You can have a great time walking and hiking over various walking paths with breathtaking views. The mountains behind the apartment are excellent for paragliding. Every day you see the colourful gliders sailing off against the blue sky.
Calis is for many people the place to see the sun go down while walking over the 4 km long sand beach.
If you have a rented car, you can take various day trips, for example, to the fantastic town of Kas (115 km) where you can swim with dolphins for about 40 euros. In Dalyan, you can take romantic boat trips through narrow waterways and lakes or take in some refreshing mud treatment in one of the mud baths after which you can clean off in the 40-degree warm thermal Sultanye baths. You could make many excursions, for example to breathtaking Olüdeniz where you can do paragliding, Saklikent where you can cool off from the tropical heat in the ice cold water and go rafting, Thlos and its ruins, Dalyan which is famous for its mud baths and tortoises (also a good place to go fishing). Excursions of several days to Ephesus/Pamukkale and even Rhodes are definitely worth it.
